First Harvest

OK, being from midwestern farm country, this shouldn't be that big of a deal, right?
Well, in Florida, we have critters straight from the '50s creep shows, we have humidity that is like a huge sauna in summer, we have fungi that moves while you are looking at it.

This year we are container gardening under screen on the back lanai.  So far so good!  I have 2 huge tomato plants that have a bumper crop of green tomatoes right now, and the tomato hornworms don't know about them yet.

So, this is a big deal!

You're way ahead of me, Pat! I can't even plant for another week at least. We're still getting frost.

looking good, Pat!

So far the hornworms haven't found us yet this year either but the heat is making my garden thirsty- hard to believe it is only May

I think we've escaped the hornworms this year! We just picked our first ripe tomato it was tasty! Yes, we can actually fit in 2 growing seasons in FL that goes well into Dec sometimes.
